UK rapper Rain releases his new single ‘Lost’ featuring Jay James Picton this July 2013.

Rain originates from South West London. Described as a ‘very energetic artist with a lot of charisma’ he also has gained plaudits for his witty lyrical ability.

Rain has been involved in music from a very early age and in 2004 he decided to pursue his music career professionally and began work on his first project ‘Illusions Of The Struggle’. In 2005 the mixtape was released with a disc full of what Rain terms ‘heart-felt Hip-hop music’.

Later that year he released a follow up mixtape ‘The Struggle Continues’ which caught the ear of Choice FM and UMAaward-winning DJ 279 who began to support a particular song from the release titled ‘Send Me’. This early support from Choice FM was soon followed by other specialist stations such as Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1Xtra, in particular, DJ Ras Kwame who awarded ‘Send Me’ single ‘homegrown track of the week’ for two weeks running and was highly rated by the listeners.

Rain has released eleven mixtapes over the past 8 years. His ‘Made In Britain’ release was a popular street CD featuring production from multi-platinum producer Chad B and a guest artist feature by ‘Big Twins’ from Infamous Mobb. Rain has collaborated with some of UK’s best-known underground artists including reggae legend Tippa Irie,Starboy NathanBlade Brown, and Katie Pearl.

In 2011, Rain collaborated with Infamous Mobb’s Ty Nitty on a project titled ‘London to QB’ which  began to develop Rain’s international appeal. He also released a song featuring Trey Songz, produced by multi-platinum producer’s Tha Bizness titled ‘If I Told you’.

Rain released his debut single ‘Bad Girl’ September 2012 featuring Starboy Nathan. The song was well received and the video was also aired on Channel 4‘s Freshly Squeezed as well as other top music channels.

Rain is currently working on his debut album.
